In working with clients, several principles define our approach ....
 |
Holistic |
The balance of meaning and
purpose in a person's life leads to a deep, self-initiated motivation that
affects everything they do. People who bring this into the workplace
develop a much higher degree of ownership towards their work, which
increases creative input and productivity.
Our approach is holistic,
integrating personal and work goals to help people align their own
aspirations and behaviours with the organisation's goals and values. This
results in a synergy of productivity with personal fulfillment which is
supported by real change in behaviour and attitude.

Positive Psychology
When most people think of
psychology, they think of mental health disorders. While we do help
people with issues such as depression and anxiety, many of our clients are
successful and well-functioning individuals who are looking for professional
support to further enhance their performance, wellbeing and quality of life.

Strategic & results-oriented
Because every organisation is unique, we take the time to
ensure
our strategies and approaches suit your culture and practices.
From the outset, we agree with you the tangible outputs you wish to
achieve. Our activities focus on attaining these in the most
effective, direct and long-lasting way. We look at how
specifically we can add value at individual, team and organisational
levels.
Our aim is to develop self-sufficiency and for you to
find your own solutions for a more powerful, meaningful and competitive
future. Our flexible approach totally customises our services to
your organisation. This allows us to intervene at any level, thus
maintaining a personalised service to all our clients. Our
external input and assistance brings new perspective to your
organisation.

 |
Trust & confidentiality
By observing and
understanding the dynamics of people in the
workplace, we identify what works well and what does not. We identify the key areas for
change, growth and new behaviour. While becoming intimately
involved in a situation, we are able to stand aside and manage it strategically.
We create an environment of confidentiality and trust, where individuals and teams explore
underlying issues with greater openness and honesty.
When working with
individuals as clients in a therapeutic, counselling or coaching context, our
psychologists adhere to a strict code of conduct and ethics as
professional members of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Learner centred
In our training programmes, we research and develop course materials to achieve
specific agreed outcomes and take great care to integrate the learning
content with your overall business strategies,
objectives and systems. We determine the content and format, evaluation and design
criteria
and the most effective ways to reinforce skills and knowledge.
Our
programmes are experientially based. Relevant case studies and other
structured exercises are incorporated to ensure the transfer of
learning to real life. We use qualitative and quantitative measures to benchmark and evaluate the effectiveness of the learning and we
support course participants to implement their action plans through follow-up coaching.

 |
Evidence-based
Our therapeutic approach is based on Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
and other short-term, evidence-based, solution focussed psychological
interventions that have been shown to integrate the best research evidence
with clinical effectiveness.
